Sea Spiders

My research with Seaspiders (Pycnogonida) involves developing DNA microsattelites in order to test theories on mating strategies and sexual selection in the face of parental care. This work done in collaberation with my advisor, Stephen Shuster, is designed to identify and quantify paternal mating success within and across species and mating strategies. This work is currently in development, with work initiating during the Summer of ’08.
